Did you get any information on the Palma Bay Club? Have you been yet? I am going soon and would really like to know what to expect.

I have stayed at the Palma bay Hotel in sept 2002. We were a group of 6 people 2 rooms. The new part of the hotel is new and nice the older part of the hotel needed a lick of paint. Generally entertainment good several swimming pools (1 for adults only) food a nice selection, staff very helpful. Arenal is a decent size resort with plenty to do and caters for germans as well as british. Hotel caters for british. Transport to Palma etc very good. Life guards by the pools when open. Only problem was several people got burgled but I expect this have been sorted by now. If you can get a good price then it well worth going to.

try http://www.holidaywatchdog.com/4335-El_ ... eview.html.

Just looked at the reviews on the site and it gets mixed reviews from excellent to poor. Trouble with hotels what 1 person finds great another person will hate, I always tend to take notice of the bad reviews because I have found them to be more honest. I believe a great many people will write a review give a rave review because they don't anybody to know they had a terrible time.

I have read reviews on this site for the sa coma platja and they were 99% between 8/10 to 10/10. I have stayed there and because of the noise from a bar over the road and traffic you can't sleep, its hardly mentioned. I take this as meaning they were all in the bar over the road until it closed at 3am came so drunk they feel into a coma once their head it the pillow. To them the place was great. But for me it was hell on earth and only 1or 2 reviews gave the place 2/10 and mentioned the noise. I would of took notice of the bad reviews mentioning the noise than the good reviews.

Horrible place.
as mugged within 24 hours of arriving, just yards from the hotel.
The hotel is awash with street sellers who come in and out of the hotel as they please in full veiw of staff.
Two african men were there constantly, i suspect under the guise of selling tat. One of them constantly harased me for my phone and not surprsingly it was pinched out of my pocket within days.
The whole stay was miserable and the constant harasment from these people was awful.
I have been abroad many times and these street sellers are always a pain, but i have never ever encountered them in a hotel before.
In all honesesty i beleive the hotel staf are in cahoots with them, i was targeted twice within 5 days whilst in this hotel.
Looking back at past reveiws from several years ago it seems they had a problem with burglarys, and thats not changed.
Do not go here unless you want to be constantly harassed or mugged , or worse.
