cost of taxi to central barcelona from airport

can any one suggest what prices we should be paying to get to our hotel in barcelona from the airport - the hotel car seems to be expensive

Just get the airport bus into the centre (Plaza Catalunya) then there are taxis from there or walking depending on where your hotel is. Taxis are about 50 euros if I remember correctly.

(Should have asked you how many people - the price for taxi was for 5 of us, so didn't fit into 1 normal size cab.)

thanks for the reply - there would be two of us and we are staying at the avenida palace back end of august before sailing with royal carrabian

I would just find out if the hotel is fairly central then if so would either get the airport bus or train in to centre for about 3 euros each. The port is located at the end of las Ramblas so not far in a taxi. (Royal Caribbean ships are great!) Enjoy!
