Wedding at Mediterranean Beach Hotel Limassol-August 2007
Hi,Just returned from a lovely holiday at Mediterranean beach. Our wedding was lovely. We actually got married at Agios Athanaisios old town hall, which is used only for weddings and is a lovely building about a 15 minute drive from hotel. We booked with Eclipse Direct. The morning after we arrived our wedding co-ordinator,Sally Kiddle, arrived to go through every part of the wedding with us and booked us an appointment at the town hall for the wedding licence(which costs about 200 sterling.)She booked everything for us including what kind of cake we wanted, what type of flowers and colour, booked hair, nail and make up appointments.Organised photographer, who was very good by the way(www.photopinkpanther.com)We chose to have an album with 24 photos and also paid for a cd with every single photo on as choosing 24 photos from about 200 was very hard and so now can have our own printed for family etc.We pre booked 2 cars for the wedding before we left the uk as we were told there is a big demand for them. Also recommend pre booking the photographer too.Ours was only a small wedding, only 10 of us altogether,so we chose our reception to suit.We met the hotels food and beverage manager a few days before the wedding to organise this.Arranged to have 2 bottles of champagne ready for toast when we arrived back at the hotel and to cut the cake.We got married at 2pm so chose to have our meal at 3.30 when we returned. This was in the taverna, which we had all to ourselves, with lovely views of the sea.If you prefer you can have an evening reception. The food was buffet style with soup, salad and choice of 3 or 4 main courses and desert.Didnt have any entertainment but this could be arranged and also our wedding co-ordinator could arrange decorations if you wanted them but cost extra. Also the place where we got married gave us a plate with painting of place where we were married on it,and in our room we had a complimentary bottle of champagne and plate of small individual chocolates. The hotel itself is lovely and has had refurb in the last 18 months. The food is also first class. There were 2 other weddings while we were there,1 of them on the same day as ours! One reception was held in hotels gardens in the evening!Hope some of this is of help to you and have a lovely time,we did!
