yes they do offer things at a high price, then they invite you in and give you a cup of apple tea while you discuss the price, the art in bartering is then to offer a very low price they will then throw their arms up in dispair and say they will go out of business they will then lower their price if your not satisfied they then expect you to raise your price until you agree on a price.if you cannot agree on a price walking out of the shop sometimes makes them agree to your price.you have to be quite strong willed about it so as not to agree a price too early as other shops sell the same things.

Hey Hey
I agree with Jackie B , walking out of the shop usally works , as they know you will probs just go buy it from somewhere else. Offer them a reasonable price though and normally they will take it. If you Barter you will deffo get it cheaper than what they say the price is. We also say well the guy up road said we can have it for cheaper than what your offering
And then they try to beat that price. Also shop around , see how much it is in other places and go for the cheapest becasuse lots of shops sell the same things

The reason why they always say the price so much higher is that they only get money if they sell something (from their boss). Thats a big problem for many of the people working in the big markets. Most just have money to live. So have that in mind when you think they are trying to much to sell a thing.
But still dont let them have a too high price. İ know this year it will be a little more expensive cause where they buy the things the prices went up. Start with low and then go up till you think its the right price. İf they dont want to sell to that price leave and look another place. if they dont come after you a say okay for the price its because they have sold alot that day or because the price is too low.
