Raddison worldgate resort
Be careful! My family and I were just there this summer. The staff was friendly, but that is all that I can say that was good. As you can imagine the summers are very hot. Well... the AC was not on in the lobby and the rest of the resort was warm, humid and had a musty smell to it. The rooms are in process of being switched over to timeshare rooms (when asked how long it is going to take, the reply I got was, "We don't know, probably awhile because there is a lot to do." The name of the resort was changed to Driftwood Resorts, but the sign wasn't even changed yet. So needless to say, they are in rough shape (outdated, dirty, warm, loud AC - doesn't work well - at least ours didn't, smelly and the resort really isn't located in the best of neighborhoods). About a few blocks away (I believe) at a Quality Inn (I believe) a robbery took place right in the lobby. Someone was shot. I saw it on the news! Anyhow, you didn't feel safe at night walking around the grounds to shop or just sight see. I was worried our car would be broke into. Needless to say, they have signs posted to let you know that they are not responsible for anything (to your car or the belongings inside). After one night, my family and I decided to check out the following morning, even though we were booked for 4 nights. I don't think it is a good/safe place for kids (of any age, especially little ones). Good luck is all I can say!
