Hi,
I react really badly to insect bites. Can anyone please tell me how big a nuisance mozzies are here and what the best way to deal with them is.

Thanks
Alison

Yes Mozzies are a BIG pain in the,, arm, leg, butt, and anything else they can bite..you need a GOOD mozzy repellant and a net over the bed. I react badly to mozzy bites but it wont stop me from enjoying my holiday .... just be careful and have a great time, :)

Mosquitos

I have had some really bad experiences in Turkey with the mossies. Last year I used boots mossie repellant wipes and had no bites.
I took the stronger ones to Jamaica and once again no bites despite my husband killing around 20 in the room one night.

Mosquitos

Get "skin so soft" by Avon, the armed forces swear by it (honestly)
It also worked for me and my kids. I walked through a tree lined road to my apt every night, not one bite.
Incidentaly, I was quite alarmed to see the size of what I thought was two dead mozzies, about the size of a Two Pence Piece. The last time I saw anything like it was in the hammer house of horror films.
Be careful.

Mosquitos

I always used to be a prime target for mozzy bites, but a simple and good remedy for them is to take vitamin b compound tablets, one, twice a day for two weeks before travelling and continue whilst away. I have done this for the last four holidays and although I have been bitten, ,the bites soon disappear without problem. This was recommended to me by my local pharmacist, and the tablets are very reasonably priced. I paid 99p for 100 tabs. Try it, you have nothing to lose - only 99p!
