Getting married in Goa

We are getting married in Goa in March next year and have been asked by our wedding planner to get an Embassy certificate stating that there exists No Legal Impediment for us to get married. Have been looking on the internet this afternoon and have found that one website says one thing and another slightly different. We are both British citizens and have lived in the UK from birth. Has anybody any done this before? Help!

Haven't got a clue about the certificate but it sounds like there could be a party!!!

I have got married in Goa & I know all the legal requirement that you need, No Legal Impediment is not valid. You need a sworn affidavit & all your paperwork has to be legalised by the Commonwealth Office, it depends what you require, if you want to contact me, go to the goldenaisle wedding planner web site & my email address is there under Carol & Simon
