Alcohol
Litres are around 10.00 on board......the surcharge for cabin consumption is 5.0.....they do deals for two litres
Beer can be brought on board no problem...they don't seem to mind this as we declared it quite openly when questioned......spirits are a different story ........it just depends if you are unlucky enough to be stopped and searched

just come back from 7 nights with royal carrabian and to be really honest with you it really is not worth trying to beat the system
rci had several packages avalivble from wine at dinner to soft drinks
ok it is more expensive then the uk and probaly you could try and sneak drink aboard .
half the fun of the trip is having a pre dinner drink in the bar and afterwoods
all drink bought in bottles is kept on board until you leave the ship

i can only speak for the barcardi drinkers out there. the on board shop is about the the same price as ASDA.
when we arrived at "the Hanger" to board ov2 at palma we noticed the duty free shop at the rear of the hanger after wehad had our photos and our on board cards registered we went over and bought a litre of bacardi gold for 11 euros ( this 1s five euros cheaper than palma airport duty free) plus a dozen cans of coke and some water. we put the bacardi in the hand luggage and carried the rest in a carrier supplied in the shop. you than have your hand luggage xrayed by bored sanish authorities . you walk over to the gang way where you enter at the reception level which does not have an xray,(all other trips you return by a gangway with an xray machine). we were not asked if we had any alcohol. We had the bacardi and coke in fridge and no question it. re the wine package we also purchased it . it was good value for money had had some excellent mid priced wines.
We loved the ship and had a wonderful time. a good tip if you have difficulty finding your sea legs a double bacardi and coke will do th trick.
enjoy mike
