Hi, I stayed in the Yiannos Manos in Malia in July 2006. Was very lively then and they were filming 'Trust me I'm a holiday rep' in that hotel. I went with my boyfriend at the time, and we were the only couple in the whole hotel, was groups of young mates.
There are 2 pools, which are both a good size, the rooms are pretty basic but ok. Shower is crap. Balcony is nice, and there are 2 single beds pushed together and a little kitchen area and table.
The hotel bar and restaraunt is nice and big, does all different food and has big screen tellies. I would recommend the water park if its still open in October.
Sorry not sure about what things will be open in October, it was peak season when I went so will probs be a lot quieter than then.
There is a shop 2 mins away from the hotel, and its about 10 mins walk to the main strip and the beach, the streets are very dark and I wouldnt have walked along on my own. Mopeds everywhere aswell. Have fun x
