Houda Golf and Beach on location

I write this from the Houda, after some really bad reports this year I was a little aprehensive, however, just as last yearI have no real complaints. The food is not that bad, do as I do, if in doubt sample a little first, I often find just because somthing looks a little unapetizing doesn't mean it isn't quite tasty. My room is verty good, ground floor overlooking a garden, the maid does a very good job of cleaning the room, leaves flowers on the bed and folds night wear into fan shapes (a nice touch). Will add more as time goes on, just thought this may help anyone coming here in the near future.

We came back Sunday after a week, we had read the reports after booking last minute through First Choice and were a little worried, but as above we had no complaints ,we had a third floor room for 4 adults which was split level, bathroom and double bed on one, two single's upstairs.
We tried all the food, we eat most things as we were brought up "on the land"
The hotel is kept clean ,the staff friendly and helpful.
My partner had a touch of "deli belly" on thurs I spoke to hotel medical team and the doctor was back in the room before me, he prescribed antibioctics (sp) by injection and she was up and rearing to go by 2pm so no complaints there LOL
All in all we enjoyed,so dont be put of by some of the very negative comments you see on the hotel reports. I saw at least one professional complainer there - every day from day one !!
BTW we are a family of two adults and two teenagers.

Yeah, I think this hotel does get more than it's share of profesional moaners, We have stayed there twice and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, as it would seem do the most of the other guests, it seems to be the british that moan the most and are the rudest to the staff.
