Weather in Hurghada at Christmas

Spending Christmas in Sunrise Hotel Resort. Has anyone else been here at this time of year. Stayed at Taba last Christmas and although it was hot in day, it was freezing at night (icy and snow). Restuarant was partly outside so very cold to eat. Will we need to take coats/thick jumpers? How cold is the sea? Rain likely?

Not been to Hurghada but believe it's on a par with Sharm We only ever go to Sharm at Xmas & NY & come back with great tans. It;s 21-25 in the day & anythiong from 13-19 after about 8pm, so extra layers for the eves; can be a bit breezy too.
Did a day trip to Petra from Sharm on 24th Dec one yr & that was COLD!

Just a side note we were in Petra in February and we were told take warm clothes, spent all day carrying them it was very warm in the valley but snow on the mountain tops

We wre in Petra News Years Eve and we also carried our coats

Hi, we went to Hurghada 2 years ago in December, the week before Christmas, and we had lovely sunny warm days but as previous posters stated it was cold at night with the clear skies. The sea was warm enough to snorkel in and we didn't have any rain or snow! Have a good time.
