Hi
We stayed at Berryhill, Lake View Country Club, Bodmin, Cornwall. (booked through www.bluechipvacations.com) and had a wonderful time. My husband fished everyday - there is over 3 acres of quality fishing lakes and other facilites include a health spa, gym and golf range. It was a very reasonable price, for the amount of facilites that were provided.
There is plenty of on-site entertainment too - including a restaurant, bar and pool table!
The lodge is located close to Padstow (Rick Steins restaurant is amazing!) and you are close to the surfing beaches too.
A truly wonderful "secret location" holiday!

Hello Robdought - Have only just found this site and maybe you have found somewhere for your holiday now, but I thought I would reply anyway.

I have found this really useful site for log cabins www.justlodges.com. They have places all over the UK.

Hope you catch a lot of fish!!
