Dalaman Airport

Postby nanabo on Sun Nov 18, 2007 4:47 pm

Just ben reading the downside to visiting Turkey in the Daily Mirror, a guy paid 20 for a pint and a brandy and coke and then after taking a sip and waiting for his change he was asked for more money. Now thats what I call a RIP OFF. Apparently everyone complained and said they would not go back to Turkey until something is done about ripping off the tourist,

People will just go elsewhere cant they see that?? There are other up and coming cheaper places to visit that wont rip you off. Has anyone else had this experience at the airport??

There is a thread further down the page about it. Several threads have been posted on the topic. Its a valid reason why they should not join the EU. I wonder what enca has to say about it.

No Lucky its not a one off I've just looked down the page as Expertcruiser said ,there is more unhappy tourists. If everyone stayed away they will soon get the message. If it wasnt for us they would be out of work and they should think of this.

Its sad to say many tourists get ripped off on the way home. Its especially rife in greece and turkey, although i have known it in spain where they have tried on many occasion to pull a fast one on me with no success. I simply dont buy food or drink at the airport. I take it all with me.

Anyone who has used Dalaman airport or any Turkish Airport can't have failed to be shocked at the prices charged for food and drink. To try to overcome this a group of people are challenging the airport management. They have set up a petition and if you are in agreement will you please sign the petition on this link.
