Weather in January

Hi

I am travelling out to the Dom Rep on 31st December 2007 for two weeks at the Bahia Principe San Juan. I have been there twice before but travelled in June both times and to different areas
Does anyone now what the Weather is like??
Read quite a few reviews most are good obviously some are bad has anyone been there recently.
