Hi There
We are planning to go to majorca late june 08. It will be the first time we have been to majorca and the first time on holiday with our three year old. Can anyone help us out with a recommendation on resorts and hotels. We don't want anything too lively but not too quite either and we would like a good selfcatering apt.

Hi, just responding to your question/concern.. We have been going to Palma Nova, Majorca for the past 6 years and have stayed in the Marina Torrenova, it's situated on a hill, about 5 mins walk to the beach, and about 10 mins walk to Magaluf. The Hotel is a Thomson Family Hotel and I would recommend it to anyone with children, when we first went my son was 18 months old and my daughter 3. It's half board but has a great selection for you and your child.. and you can eat as much as you want, June is a fantasic time to go, lovely weather and really they are just starting their season. The staff are very friendly nothing too much of a problem. The reviews you may read, most will complain of the hill, but rest assured their is only one MAJOR hill and it's not the one leading to the Hotel, not unless you go wrong. We have tried to find another hotel or self catering complex and have not found anything close, for the food you can eat and the entertainment you won't need anything else. I hope this helps you, reviews for this Hotel are on Thomson Home page. Have a good one.

Try Sa Coma up the east coast, its quiter and small resort. Lovely beach and the resort of cala millor is not far away. There is a thomson super family hotel called the coma gran.
There are protur hotels which has plenty of activities to keep kids happy. The apartments you can go S/C, H/B or A/I. The protur properties are done by thomson and portland. Just copy and paste this lnk to your address bar. The good when you book H/B or A/I in the resort kids upto eat free and kids upto 14 eat for half price. You can eat in any of the hotels on A/I and you can book daily so if you decide to go out or eat out you can suit yourself without having to pay food which you will not be there for.

Cala Millor is a nice beach, and within easy reach of other resorts that you can walk to.
If you've got kids you cant beat Alcudia, it's a haven for kids with lots to do, bars cafes etc. With a smashing beach.
