Sporty holiday

Can anyone recommend a hotel which has good sports facilities, or access thereto, including the possibilities for cycling and walking (hills/mountains). We are a family with nearly teenage children and are not the "lie on the beach all day" types, but will need hotel with access to the beach for the hour or so we can tolerate being there!
