We are thinking of going to the agean and wondered what a Gulet holiday would be like. If anyone has been on one I would appreciate your experience, good or bad.
I know they are predominantly a Turkish Yacht but if anyone has experience of similar in Greece this wouls also be appreciated.
Cheers.

Has anyone been on a Gulet holiday?
I have booked with Thomas Cook for August 1 week on a Gulet and a week in Bitez. The Gulet is apparently All Inclusive. If anyone hac=s experience of one of these then let me know, if anyone is going in August the same applies. Cheers.

Hi Phil,
We have been on around 7 Gulet Holidays, It is a fantastic way to relax and see the very best of Turkey well away from the crowds in the big resorts. There are various routes that the boats take, If it is your first trip I would recommend the one that goes around the Gulf of Fethiye, it has the nicest scenery and the winds are never as strong as some of the northern routes. There are many companies offering Gulets most doing the same routes but you will notice the prices vary a lot and in this case it is very much you get what you pay for, the cheaper companies tend to have older, smaller boats- still great fun but if you spend a little more you will proberbly enjoy it more. The price includes all your meals but not drinks and the past couple of years the prices for drinks have gone up quite a lot so the bar bill can come as a bit of a shock at the end of the week. If You want to go for the best I would recommend http://www.exclusiveescapes.co.uk we have been with them a few times and the boats and crew are the best around. If you need any more help just let me know.
