Ibiza hints and tips
well where do i start? there is so much to enjoy in Ibiza. If your staying in San Antonio or the Bay, there are lots lots of bars and restaurants everywhere a good one in the bay is called the pint pot where you get a 3 course meal for about 5 euros. the beaches, there is a beach that runs all the way down from the the bay to the town also a nice one at cala gracio the far end of san antonio town, you can also catch the ferry boats to other beaches such as cala conte, cala basa and cala tarida. cala basa is a nice one with pine trees at the back if you want a bit of shade.there are plenty shops down in the town mays and la serina are good for gifts, perfume and alcohol, a trip to the hippy market at Es Cana on a wednesday morning is worth a visit catch the bus from the bus station to Es Cana then follow the crowd much cheaper than going on the organised trip. go early as they finish early afternoon.A trip to the old town is worth a visit the restaurants within the walls are quite expensive again you can the bus from the bus station to Ibiza town.If your staying in Santa Eulalia This is much quieter than san Antonio but still has a lot to offer, there are plenty shop and restaurants and bars not really the clubs san antonio has. Our favourite was Daffers on restaurant street you usually need to book the night before because it soon gets booked up but the food is wonderful (especially the lamb) and very cheap another good restaurant is La paella which is over the bridge that goes over the little river in la siesta. you can get a ferry boat from the marina to the hippy market on wednesdays. there is also a little road train that takes you to the little country villages. Mariners bar (near the little bridge) is a good bar for cocktails in the evenings the usually have entertainment on too.there is a good man made beach which is always kept clean.Portinax is nice but not a lot there other than the beautiful beach, you can get a bus there from san antonio or santa eulalia you need to check which days at the bus station as they dont go everyday.I don`t know much about the clubs in Ibiza but i think Manunition (proberbly spelt it wrong) and paradise are two that a lot of young people go to.I would recomend Ibiza for people of all ages.

Ibiza hints and tips
we are both 50 and LOVE Ibiza! We still watch the sunset in San An (hate san an town, its great to get drunk but not a good representation of this beautiful island) we go every year and have a car for the whole time, take a map free from the tourist info, of the best beaches and drive to every one, forget the tourist resorts es cana, calla llonga, go to the quiet coves and join the locals. party in ibiza town, shop till you drop and eat at san carles in the square at the restaurant in the square with an outside bbq...yum! finish the meal with a glass of hierbas (its an aquired taste!!). go to the night market at las dalias...great fun!
walk up to the old town in santa eulalia. we stay in santa eulalia at some 2 star apts...basic, but clean and we love the owner! Not saying where or you will all book it!
Ibiza is a wonderful place and we always find a new beach or restaurant.we are never disappointed. the only thing we are disappointed with is Living TV's programme about Ibiza. It is showing all the rough bits and none of the real island!!!! Go and enjoy whatever your age...we still hope to be brave enough to go to Pacha but come 1.00am after a great meal and a drink or two we always cop out...ah well there is always next time!!!

A restaurant tip here. Es Boldado opposite Es Vedra. Magical it is. You get to it by a long naroow dirt track and you wonder where the hell you will end up but then you arrive the most amazing seafood reataurant on the side of a cliff. The paella is mind blowing. We have been going for years and it hasn't ver disappointed.
