Hi all, we are 2 adults and 3 children. Our 2 boys are 11 and 13 and our daughter is 6.

I've now discovered that its ultra frustrating trying to find places that will sleep 5 people.

The problem is tha as our 1st family holiday last September we went to Club Voyage Torba in Turkey (i have left a 10/10 review, its excellent) and this has set the standards very high for future places.

All inclusive, 1 week, 3 bedroom 2 storey apartment was 1600.

We booked again to go this year in the last week in September for 2 weeks, this time its 2200! fandabbydozy.

Thing is, Thomas Cooks have twigged on to the value for money of this resort and the prices for 2009 have now gone up 50% (3500).

So we are now looking around for a new destination for 2009.

We need something........

All inclusive
Apartment with either 3 rooms or 2 + sofa bed in living area
Decent beach within walking distance
Pool with slides would be nice
Good value excursions or facilites available if possible

overall, if someone can recommend somewhere that will sleep 5 with some of the above features i'd be very grateful.

I wish the world would realise that some families are bigger than 2 adults and 2 children and dont all want to sleep in the same room!

Any help/advice/recommendations are greatly appreciated.

We have exactly the same problem as a family of five , 2 Adults and 3 kids. We always just have to take neighbouring rooms wherever we go.
Although we mainly go Self Catering (Late Deals) so this is not a problem , but with two rooms in an all inclusive it can make all the difference in price.
The All inclusive's with rooms for five I have seen are The Holiday Village in Turkey, The Petra Mare Hotel in Crete and the Chrousso in Palliouri, Halkidiki.
I havent stayed at any of these you will have to read reviews, however saying that we have stayed in halkidiki and I can say its a lovely place.

I have booked a villa with private pool this year for six adults and one child. Cost approx 210 each for flights and 450 for villa, about another hundred for transfers.

There are villas to rent attached to hotels or with agreement to use their facilities.
Might be worth considering /looking into

thanks for that, All inclusive is a must for us. It pays for itself having 3 kids to feed and water all day. Self catering would be a nightmare and we wouldnt have a clue how much to budget for food/drinks.

I know AI limits out options, but I wouldnt go any other way.

Just want to say a quick thanks to Hunny Bunny as you have given us some great ideas with the suggestions you made.

The Chrousso, Halkidiki looks a great place and excellent value for money.

Off to 1st Choice for a chin wag me thinks!

just an update.

After much trawing around and some lousy service from First Choice in Grantham we decided to go to

The Hemera Hotel and Spa in Side, Turkey.

Has everything we want and is one of the highest rated places on this site. I read the 1st 10 reviews and can't wait to go.

Family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids (travelling ages are 8, 12 and 14) came to 2800 with a few tweeks. Excellent flight times too, which is a bonus.

Main reason its so cheap is that the child price applies up to age 16!
