Reasonably Active Holday ideas please

My wife and I will be visiting Icmeler for the first time in July. Neither us has been to Turkey before. We like to have a reasonably active holiday, not paragliding or watersports exactly, but we don't like to spend all our time by the pool. We both like walking and sightseeing and I am a keen amateur photographer, has anyone got any ideas please of either organised trips or relatively easy trips we can arrange ourselves.

Once in Icmeler there are loads of trip brokers offering local trips on boats, a Jeep Safari or trip round local villages. They are good value for money. Also you can easily book a trip to Ephesus and pammukele for 2 days for about �45 each which includes a night in a hotel and meals - very good value and fascinating places to visit. You can also get about yourselves on local buses from Marmaris to other resorts such as Bodrum or Fethiya along the coast from the Ontonger Bus Station which is on the outskirts of Marmaris.
