Hi There, I am going to Lanzarote (Puerto Del Carmen) next week (22nd June) and i am abit worried about the weather. Alot of people says its really windy and you will need a jacket at night, is this the case or are they just over exagerating?

hi i dont know why people exagerate so much about the wind on lanz, ive been going there for years and the wind does'nt affect my holiday one little bit.
yes theres wind, but theres wind where ever you go on holiday, its called nature doing its thing, you tell me this 25 to 30C would you not wish for a little wind to cool you down,? i would.
so to answer your question, through the day temp 25 to 30C,at night 16 to 19C "do you think you will need a jacket"i dont think so,a lite cardy.
it is still worth taking one item of warm clothing just in case because weather is so unpredictable no matter where you go in the world.

Remeber the Canary Islands are Islands in the Atlantic with nothing to stop the wind in its way, yeah it can get windy but gets very windy here too.
Even if there is a strong wind, like there was when i went there, you will be grateful for it during the hot summer days.
Do a goggle search and just type in weather in Lanzarote and there are many website that will give you a detailed 07 day forecast.
Cheers

We just booked to go to Lanzarote for the third time (can't wait!). We've never found the wind a problem, it has always been more of a cool breeze which we have been very glad of during the day as it gets so hot! And I always take a light cardie just in case, but rarely need it.
On a different note, we have only been in June before, whereas this time we are going 24th aug - 7th Sept, will we find much of a difference in temp?
Thanks
Steph

hi steph,i have been going to lanz since 1997 and always the same 2 weeks,(second and third week) in january and its 19 to 23 during the day and 15 to 18 at night, yes in january you will need a jacket but you probable wont use it because out of all those years i've been going i've only wore it twice,i usually just wear a thin jumper if that.
