We went to the Rainbow Apartments in Stalis at the end of May and we absolutely loved it here and we would love to return but the prices with Direct holidays have gone up by just over £500 based on the same date that we went this time for 7 nights based on a family of four.
This seems a HUGE increase.
Has anybody else looked into next years holidays yet and found a similar thing?

We looked all over the net at various companies and prices for Turkey August 2009, and also priced DIY holidays and I have to say direct-holidays came out the cheapest for us .

Looks like all prices have shot up for next year. Have been looking all around the med for next year and prices getting quite dear.
Went to Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria for the last two years, staying in the Gloria Palace (great hotel) and this year it cost approx £1400 for two half board but same dates next year are approx £1800 (although still worth it !).
Looks like you'll have to shop around !!

The extra for fuel increases per day for cruises is £3.50 pp starting from 1.1.09 this does not include any flight surcharges.
We can expect increases for some time before they start coming down due to people not booking.
I don't think we will see those cheap deals for a long time yet. But look at it this way we have had a good run of really low prices, and todays prices are reflecting true value. if the accommodation is first class.

Speaking as an ex Travel agent the days of cheap hoildays are over.
It's not just fuel prices it's a knock on effect from 4 major Travel agents merging in to 2 and not increasing there property allocations.
I've booked to go to Stalis for the first time next June which I'm really looking forward to but when I booked in May some of my choices were already sold out!My advise would be book as early as you can for next year the prices go up with each addition of the brochure!
Sorry dont mean to be a killjoy hope you can find something on the web.

Just spoken to a couple of contacts, and 1 am reliably informed that the DIY Rental Market will not increase much over the coming 12 months, yes flights will rise but thats true in the Package Market. You can still rent a 1 bed unit next July/Aug. for just £56.Each!!based on a Family of 4. So..get searching..and good Luck!!
