What is the preferred currency to take / use?

Am I better off taking more £ or € than the local currency?

When I was there we used local currency but it was quite hard to get hold of on this end as it is a closed currency so officially you can only get it in Morocco and you can't take it out with you.

I got money out of ATMs when I was there without any problem but some people worry about relying on them so bring some sterling or euros if you have them. I wouldn't buy euros specially as you'll lose out on the exchange.

Hi there, the currency used is the moroccan dirham, as it is a closed currency you can only exchange when there. I would suggest taking pounds sterling and using the currency exchange facilities at your hotel.
