I'm planning on going on vacation to Thailand this summer, but a little worried about the situation over there. Has anyone been there lately? Are the demonstrations against the government still serious, do you think my holiday maybe affected by the protestors?
It's our first visit to Asia (we just retired) so we hope everything will be ok.
Look forward to any replies and advice.

Dont worry too much jackie, i just got back from Thailand and had one of the best times of my life. If there were any problems or protests when i was there i didn't see a thing. The Thai people were all super friendly and always only welcomed in open arms. If you have the chance go, dont be put off by a couple of protests.

Hello!
Please, don't worry about all these demonstrations staff! Thailand is just maded for tourists, so people there don't waste their business with protests ;)
I've just back from Thailand and it was my best holiday! We were stayed at Green House hotel (greenhousebkk.com), and it was fantastic! Not only the good service and pleasant rooms, but also a lot of adventures we've booked there (diving, night tours, etc.... even roller ball ride - wow, I was dream about it for ages!).
So you won't have much time for worrying about protests :) Have a nice trip!
