i have arrived back from Cancun last wednesday,i was ill half the time i was out there,i went to see my rep and asked if there was any more swine flu cases and she LAUGHED IN MY FACE AND SAID NO WAY,IT'S A COLD FROM YOUR AIR CONDITIONING!since getting back,my niece has been in hospital and tested and confirmed positive for SWINE FLU!the WHO say that i had it aswel, but fought it off without medication,as did my 3 yr old niece. My basic message is----
DO NOT GO TO MEXICO!EVEN IF THEY REFUSE TO CANCEL OR EXCHANGE YOUR HOLIDAY,NOW THE WHOLE PARTY THAT WENT (15 PPL) ARE AT HOME TAKING TAMIFLU,INCLUDING MY 18 MONTH OLD AND 9 YR OLD NEPHEW

SOME PEOPLE MAY SAY "WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED?" WELL,WE WERE ASSURED REPEATEDLY,EVEN AFTER CONSTANTLY ASKING AND CHECKING UP SINCE THE OUTBREAK BEGAN.WE WERE REFUSED A REFUND FROM THOMSON AND BASICALLY LAUGHED AT FOR MENTIONING SWINE FLU,BUT IS STILL VERY MUCH ACTIVE IN MEXICO!I'M JUST WARNING EVERYONE NOT TO GO,IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

PLEASE STOP TYPING IN CAPITALS as it's seen as shouting in forums.
It's difficult to read and so not many do.

Now that Swine Flu is officially a global pandemic I'm not sure that it will make much difference avoiding Mexico, the London tube is probably as high risk.
I'm glad that you are recovering well and that your family are all ok, hopefully your neice will be out of hospital soon. I'm just relieved that this flu has turned out so mild. They are saying it might mutate as we get into the Autumn and Winter but hopefully those who have already had the milder version will have some immunity to whatever comes next.
