Transfers from Miami airport to Fort Lauderdale Port

Cruise

Hi can anyone give me a cheap site for transfers from Miami Airport - Fort Lauderdale Port? Are there any buses/trains?

We are travelling this journey on 20/03/2010 for an MSC cruise. If anyone is doing the same journey on the same day we are willing to share a taxi/transfer? There are two of us.

Thanks

Hi Jenny,

Leave airport at level one, look for shuttle office round about middle of concourse, 'man with green and yellow jacket' shuttles to all parts of Miami Dade County, Miami Beach and Ft Lauderdale, cost about $20/$30 plus one dollar tip for driver.

We're booked on the MSC Poesia back to back cruise 02/04/2010 returning on the 17th April 2010. Who did you book with? We booked through Thomsons, we were initially told we had British Airways flights direct LHR to MIA but have just been told we are now booked on Continental LHR - Houston - MIA outbound then MIA - Newark,NJ - LHR inbound adding about 5/6hrs to our journey.

Just been reading the Continental Website and it looks like we will be charged for all our checked in bags (unless I'm reading it wrong?) so its really put a damper on it at present. We've just paid the second part of the deposit (£750)otherwise I'd just cancel it altogether.

They have also made us travel the day before the Cruise (We meet the cruise on the Saturday ship sails at 17.00hrs) but fly on the Friday so have to book a hotel for the Friday night. (Any idea how far it is mileage / time from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale cruise terminal?).

Had a moan at Thomsons who moaned at MSC, we now still don't have direct flights, we still go via Houston out and Newark back but we fly into Fort Lauderdale rather than Miami (so we save a cab ride) plus they've given us MSC loyalty cards so we get preferential treatment onboard.

Looking forward to it....................
